Room for Rent in Sunnyvale Home to Neat Student/Professional

Seeking a clean, responsible, considerate, non-smoking student or working professional to rent one room
available in our remodeled home immediately. Location has easy access to Hwy 85 and 101, I-280, and
is just a few blocks from El Camino Real and Mountain View with restaurants and shopping centers.

NEW: Construction on the new pedestrian bridge over Hwy 85, extending the Stevens Creek trail, is almost
complete. As the house is just a few neighborhood blocks from the bridge, it's an easy ride to many companies
in Mountain View located near the trail, like Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, etc.

There are currently three male tenants in the 4-bedroom home: one in the back corner, and two occupying
bedrooms 1 and 3. So there will be a total of four people sharing the house (three on one side, and one on
the other), in addition to the owners stopping by occasionally to maintain the yard, tend to their organic
gardens, and to use an extra room as art studio space. Read intros by Jim, J.R., and Nick.

You have access to all shared living spaces, including large living room and dining room, the kitchen, the
backyard and patio with Smith & Hawken furniture, solar-heated swimming pool (in summer months),
carport, and two large, lockable tool/storage sheds, one with power, lights, and workbench. Washer and
dryer are conveniently located next to the kitchen.

The house may accommodate additional furniture in shared areas depending on arrangement with existing
occupants. There are several closets around the house, a food pantry, and central heating. Each bedroom
has a digitally controlled ceiling fan with dimming light.

Monthly rent includes ALL UTILITIES (electricity/water/garbage)

Your total move-in cost is first month plus $500 refundable deposit. There is no minimum lease duration
except a minimum 1-month notice prior to move-out. Renter must also agree to the possibility of hiring
a monthly cleaning service if public areas are consistently untidy.

Jim is a hobbyist photographer who is also interested in musical instruments and software, and making music.
For work he is involved in an imaging technology startup, which makes cool interactive visual effects for art and
business applications. Though not vegetarian, he is health conscious (eats it about half the time). He likes playing
sports more than watching them.


J.R. is a 3D digital artist at Infinite Z.
His interests include creating art, watching movies, the outdoors, working out at the gym, and engaging in conversations.


Nick works at a non-profit organization at Stanford.
His interests include rock climbing, flying, photography, sound design, hiking, and snowboarding.

The house is located on a cul-de-sac off S. Bernardo Dr. just south of El Camino Real. Substantial remodeling has
been done inside and outside of the house over the past two years, including the installation of motion-triggered
lights on the driveway, in the carport, and along the front and side walkways.

Bedroom 1: 11' x 14' = 154 sf

This is the largest of the 3 available rooms. The window faces the frontyard, and so provides excellent morning light.
The ceiling fan and light are controlled by a digital dimmer switch. The hardwood floor has just been resurfaced, and
all electrical have been updated. There is also a new set of contemporary wooden window blinds. The closet is 6'x2'.

Bedroom 2: 11.5' x 12' = 138 sf ($800/mo)

Adjacent to the corner bedroom, this room has high windows overlooking the sideyard where the large
tool/storage sheds are located. Northwest facing, it gets great afternoon light. The hardwood floor has been
resurfaced, and electrical have been updated. The closet is 6'x2'. The ceiling fan and light are controlled by
a digital dimmer switch.




Bedroom 3: 9.5' x 11' = 105 sf

Also adjacent to the corner bedroom, this smaller room has front-facing window with excellent morning
light. The ceiling fan, digital dimmer light, and wall closet are all the same as in the other rooms. There is
also a new set of contemporary wooden window blinds.

Full Bath

This full bath is located in the same hall next to the 3 bedrooms, and so is shared among the occupants
of the 3 rooms
. There are plenty of towel racks and hooks, and there is even a small closet door to the linen
closet (full access is in the hallway). There is a ceiling light tunnel that provides bright sunlight during daytime.

Half Bath

This half bath is directly adjacent to the full bath. It has a large mirror and plenty of counter and
storage space for personal items. A light tunnel also fills the room with sunlight throughout the day.

The kitchen overlooks the backyard through a bay window. Stainless steel appliances and faucet have all
been replaced. A microwave oven is available on the back counter, along with plenty of cabinets for storage.
